SITTING ON HER THRONE
SHE’S SO ALONE
SITTING ON HER THRONE
SHE’S SO ALONE
SHE WOULD LIKE TO WALK
ALONG THE CITY SHORE
DOWN BY HER ROOFLESS HOUSE
WHERE SOLDIERS SHOOT NO MORE
AND THE SUN
MAKES THE WATER GLOW
’TIL THE STARS
ALL AT ONCE THEY FLOW
TO THE SKY
SITTING ON HER THRONE
SHE’S SO ALONE
SITTING ON HER THRONE
SHE’S SO ALONE
I HAVE SEEN HER FLOATING
ON AN INLAND SEA
CHAMELEON DANDELIONS
SPRANG FROM THE TREES
CHILDREN STARED
AT A SINKING SHIP
AIRCRAFTS BOMBED
WITH CANDIES AND SWEETS
FROM THE SKY
FROM THE SKY

Though only their third studio album release, these veterans have been around for almost fifteen years--and they keep getting better with each release--which is hard to manage since their quality of compositions, performances, and production have always been top notch. A band that really should be heard! wafiii
This release makes me think of early delving from folk groups into jazz territory, with some Canterbury thrown in, The quartet really captures an era without falling into sentimentality, sounding like a lost soundtrack some mod 60s film at times. Airy, spiraling, effected vocals blend with what sound like vintage keyboards, guitars, bass, drums and flute for a lysergic trip back in time. Nickie Harte Kelly
